Ian Kennedy of Radio Merseyside gave Ringo Starr And The Beatles Beat a fantastic review on Spencer Leigh's show tonight.

"I'm not a drummer, or even a musician either, but don't let that put you off reading this book -because it is fantastic.

It looks great for a start. They have done a really good job - there are some fantastic photographs in it.

Yes, there is a lot of technical drumming stuff in there...it is an aspect of the Beatles story that deserves some analysis and it certainly gets it here. They have done a great job.

It needs to be told for people who want to have an overall picture of why the Beatles were so good as well as being so successful, an understanding of the importance of Ringo to the story is important and he gets due credit here."
